The IPO is an institute attached to the Research and Publication Center (RPC) of the University of Mindanao headed by Assistant Vice President Dr. Maria Linda B. Arquiza. Its focus is to conduct surveys that relates to the popular concerns of the people of Davao.
The IPO is currently headed by Dr. Adrian Tamayo the Director for Quantitative Studies of the University of Mindanao RPC supported by technical staff whose individual concerns are designated as to environment and health, politics and economics, and education, youth and the marginalized.
